Cattle at SC Auctions on Wednesday: Compared to last week feeder
steers and feeder bulls too few to trend, feeder heifers were 4.00
higher. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 318.00; 500-600 lbs
none reported. Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs none
reported; 500-600 lbs 285.00-300.00. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1
400-500 lbs 235.00-255.00; 500-600 lbs 230.00-245.00. Slaughter cows:
Breakers 75-80% lean 112.00-119.00; Boners 80-85% lean 110.00-125.00;
High Dressing 122.00-128.00; Lean 85-90% lean 98.00-112.00; Lean Low
Dressing 80.00-92.00. Slaughter bulls: Average Dressing 1030-1900 lbs

Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was not reported. Sows live
price 300-450 lbs 49.69; 450-500 lbs 54.88; 500-550 lbs 54.54.
SC Grain on Thursday. Corn was 5 cents lower; elevator bids 3.76-4.56,
processor bids 4.66-4.71. Soybeans were 13 cents lower; elevator bids
10.27-11.28, processor bids 11.93, and export 11.58. Wheat bids were
steady to 5 cents lower; elevator bids 5.43.
Cotton on Thursday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.23
higher at 93.21.
